Sorrento Trip 2010
When we were staying in Sorrento in Italy, we went to lots of different places, including a long to climb up Mount Vesuvius. The struggle was worth it as when we eventually got to the top we saw a great view of the volcano and we saw the path which the lava took down the mountain.
We also went to an ancient city called Pompeii which used to be buried in ash from Mount Vesuvius. We saw the houses where the Romans lived, the cobbled streets, the tracks that carriages made on the streets and the Roman amphitheatre.
When we went to Solfatara we stood in the middle of the crater and saw the bubbling mud and steam coming from within.
We went to a farm where we made our own pizza. We saw all the animals on the farm and the oranges, lemons and olives which the farmer grew.
On our trip to Naples we went to the underground city where people lived during the war and saw some of the toys the children used to play with.
We went to the museums in Naples where we saw lots of statues of Roman warriors and emperors.
I really enjoyed our trip to Italy and all the places we went to. The hotel was very nice. I had lots of fun and I would definitely go back.
