Letter from the Headmaster
Dear Parent,
The move to post-primary education can be a pleasant experience if the parents and the pupil have confidence in the school to be attended. An established induction programme, an award winning mentoring system and a relevant personal development course all lead to that confidence, with new pupils feeling welcomed and supported as they enter Cullybackey High School.
We accept that all young people have the difficult task of realising their worth and using it so that they may become full citizens of their community. This school aims to search for full development by recognising and nurturing the unique abilities in each individual.
In offering the broadest possible range of subjects under the close supervision of a well qualified and caring staff in attractive surroundings, we make every effort to help each pupil identify his/her own strengths and weaknesses.
By cultivating interest and encouraging a balanced growth, in a school where sound values are paramount, we succeed in producing young people who make positive contributions to their localities and are sought after by the outside world.
It is our experience that all pupils have some potential for excellence, whether it be in academic work, sport, art, music, drama, leadership or service.
Fundamental to each child's progress is the absolute support of parents in all discipline, pastoral and curriculum matters so the school encourages the involvement of parents at all times.
If I, or any of my staff, can be of further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact the school.
Yours faithfully,
R. W. Boyd
Headmaster
