Performance Poet Visit

Visit of Chelly McLear, Performance Poet

Pupils from Year 8 and 9 were able to practice their skills in rhythm and rhyme during two poetry workshops led by performance poet, Chelly McLear, as part of a tour of regional schools.

The experience was both educational and entertaining as pupils learned more about the art of creating poetry from their everyday experiences. After listening to expert advice and example, classes had the opportunity to write and perform their own masterpieces of rap.
