Annual Maths Competition

Click to enlargeOn the 20th of June 2011, 2 pupils from Year 9 (Julie McIlmoyle & Alex Fleming) and 2 pupils from Year 10 (Tia McCombe & Helena McAllister) came out top in the Secondary School category in Antrim Board Centre's Annual Mathematics Competition. The pressure was unbelievable as the other 15 schools competing seemed to have the edge, but once our confidence built, we were ready to have fun and win! The puzzles and questions were hard, but we still made the best of it and had fun.

When our school name was being called out we made our way to the front of the hall to receive our trophies. In the Grammar School category, Ballymena Academy took home the trophies – we congratulate them and wish them the best.
