Glasgow Hockey Tour 2010
From the 24th to the 25th of March, 20 pupils from Years 8, 9 and 10 went to Glasgow on the Hockey Tour.
On the first day we got up and had to be at the school for 5:30 am. We made our way by bus to Belfast Harbour and got checked in. The boat left Belfast at 7:30 am and we arrived at Stranraer at around 10:30 am. We travelled on the bus to the Albion hotel and arrived about 1:00 pm. We sorted out our rooms and settled in.
At around 4:00 pm we played Kelvinside Academy. They beat us in both matches but it was a great experience and really fun.
The next morning we got up at around 8:30 am to get breakfast at 9:00 am. Once we had breakfast we got packed and left the hotel.
We made our way to Ibrox Football Stadium and got a tour. We got to see where Rangers play their matches and where they keep their trophies. Then we went to the shop where some people bought goodie bags, scarves and footballs.
Our next stop was at a very big shopping centre where we bought food and shopped. We left the centre and got on the bus to head home.
We arrived back at the school at 11:00 pm and everyone was tired after a long day. The following day everyone arrived in school exhausted!
The hockey tour was great fun and I loved it.
