NEBSSA 5-A-Side Football
13th April 2011On Wednesday 13th April the Girls’ Football Team travelled to Ballee for the first indoor tournament of the season.
We ended up playing 5 games back-to-back - winning 3 and drawing one, to reach the final. Our opponents, in the final, were the hosts, Ballee High School, whom we had played earlier in the competition resulting in a 1-1 draw.
We took the lead in the first minute, with a goal from Paige Henry, however, the girls ended up being 2-1 down as the clock approached half-time. Rebecca Logan drove in a hard, low shot past the keeper to level it at 2 a piece. Cullybackey then had the opportunity to finish the game off but failed to find the finishing touch. Consequently, against the run of play and in the last minute of the game, Ballee got the winner! A hard fought game with both sides deserving praise. A big, 'well done' to all the girls involved.

Coleraine HS Football Tournament
17th June 2010This year the Year 8-9 Football Team was made up of Esther Blair, Erin Browne, Alana Duff, Rebecca Logan, Victoria Hughes, Hannah Bell, Casey Balmer, Rachel McAlonan and Lois Stevenson.
We met every Monday after school to play a few games and have a good time.
We competed in many tournaments including some around Belfast. We narrowly missed out on a quarter-final place in our last tournament at Coleraine High School. Rebecca and Erin were top scorers with 2 each.
