Berlin 2009
On a cold, wet December morning 20 excited pupils arrived at school early to begin their trip to Berlin. During the 4 day trip, pupils had the opportunity to see Berlin from up high in the TV Tower, from a coach to see all the sights and also to experience the Christmas markets.
Pupils were particularly interested in following the path of the Berlin wall and sampling German food (although I'm not sure how traditional McDonalds is!!). We also visited a Cold War bunker where we saw what it would be like to live there after a nuclear bomb.
We did lots of shopping and many Christmas presents were bought. Evening activities included bowling - some of us were more successful than others - and Thursday night was terrifying for some of us, as we went to a funfair and sampled some scary rides. Everyone had a great time and even though our feet and legs were sore from walking so much we all agreed that it was a brilliant trip.
